This hits close to home. In my role I’ve seen firsthand how often PMs are left to navigate chaos they didn’t create.
I’m lucky to have a great team smart, resilient, and committed but even the best project managers can only do so much when they’re handed unclear goals, unrealistic timelines, or plans made without their input.
It’s not about blaming leadership, it’s about owning the responsibility that comes with leadership. Real alignment, thoughtful planning, and open communication aren’t luxuries they’re the foundation.
Empower your PMs early, bring them into the strategy, and treat them like the partners they are. The results speak for themselves when leadership and delivery work together.
