šŸŽ¶ Happy Wednesday — and a quick reminder that sometimes a little humor is the best way to level the playing field. Back when the world was told to ā€œhold on to what we’ve got,ā€ nobody guessed a few decades later it’d be a Project Manager holding the risk log and a lukewarm coffee. Genia still pours the coffee, Johnny still fights the timeline — and together they remind us that heart and hustle still beat scope creep every time. Featured Tracks: 1ļøāƒ£ Genia’s Grind (Latte Mix) 2ļøāƒ£ Baseline Blues 3ļøāƒ£ Change Request Rhapsody 4ļøāƒ£ Risk Register of Love 5ļøāƒ£ Halfway There (Acoustic Version) So when your roadmap’s on fire but the coffee’s strong — crank this up. A power ballad for every PM who’s ever battled scope creep, missing stakeholders, and Monday stand-ups that should’ve been an email. NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! šŸŽ¤

Hal, this is hilarious — and also unintentionally accurate. Most PMs aren’t ā€œliving on a prayer,ā€ they’re living on unmodeled risk — hoping the next change request doesn’t break the plan because nobody’s shown the downstream impact yet. Humor lands because it’s true: when teams can see the consequences early, the stress drops. When they can’t, every sprint feels like a stadium tour with no soundcheck. The soundtrack might be rock, but the real genre is impact management — not just keeping the beat, but understanding which verse of the roadmap collapses if the chorus slips. We will be at PMI in Phoenix next month and hope you will stop by to discuss in more detail, or let’s keep the conversation going on LinkedIn. šŸ“… Book time or stop by our booth: https://calendly.com/john-reuben-continuous/a-safe-place-for-planning-aangine More at www.aangine.com

Hal Gottfried MPM, APGM, CIPM, ha. "Change Request Rhapsody" absolutely killed me Nothing like a power ballad to get through those Monday standups that definitely should've been a Slack message instead.
